This landscape installation was designed for a new build home in Shelby Township. The goal of the design was to be bold and modern while also being easy to maintain. In the front, we installed two Slender Silhouette Sweetgums that grow narrow and upright to frame the house on each side. A row of yews and a row of boxwoods add year-round green, while colorful grasses and perennials give the house spring, summer, and fall colors. Plantings consisted of Japanese forest grasses, blue fescue grasses, little quick fire hydrangea, hameln grasses, nepeta, geranium rozanne, and variegated liriope in the front. On the side of the house, we combined feather reed grasses, strawberry vanilla hydrangeas, and knockout roses to add a splash of color and hide utilities. In the back, a bed with a Bloodgood Japanese Maple, little lime hydrangea, allium, and yews completes the space. We also installed an exposed aggregate patio and walkway, landscape lighting, sod, and irrigation for the property, giving our clients everything they needed for their new home.
